Prostration
The prayer sung on this album is different from the prayer called "Prostration" from the 9 Preliminary Practices of Bon. The name of this prayer is Kon Zhi Chak, which means "invoking the four precious Rinpoches from afar".
The first Master we invoke, our Lama, is an example of a precious jewel. You will receive whatever you wish from the precious jewel. The second Master is as precious as the fleeting and perfect beauty of a rainbow. The third Master is an example of a rare morning star, which we can see only occasionally. The fourth Master is pure like an untainted lotus flower growing from the mud.
This chant is ideal when you seek the presence of your Lama. Kon Zhi Chak was written in the 10th century.
